Tuesday Pro Tip

Just erase momentarily from your writing vocabulary:

  • along
  • with
  • suddenly
  • and instantly.

In all seriousness, second, moment (long moment, short moment, most moments), and instant are easy to fall back on when you’re not sure quite what to write. It’s a problem, because overdoing it makes you look amateur or lazy. Worse, it gets repetitive, and therefore, boring, fast.
